I haven't worked at GameStop since April but I'm cool with my manager so he has continued to keep me in the employee system. As a result, I still get to use the employee discount. I just found out that you can use this discount online. Employees sign in with their account and generate a code for one-time use that will get them 15% off of their order and free "value" shipping (if you have a PowerUp card you get that extra 10% off certain items so the discount comes out to 25%).
I'm willing to let KTT fam use my discount. However, as I said, each code can only be used one time and you need to generate a new one for every order. As a result, I can only give my codes to one member at a time, and since GameStop will get suspicious if I generate codes at an insane rate, I'm going to be doing this carefully. So once every week or two, I'm going to choose one member who will get to use my discount, and most of my decision will be based on what the user wants to order. So for example, if a user was looking to buy a new game and a pre-owned console (you cannot buy new consoles with the code, only pre-owned/refurbished), I would give them the code over someone who just wants to buy a 3DS game since the one buying the console will get a bigger discount.
I know 15% isn't a big deal, but it's still better than nothing and I think I'm doing something nice, so yeah. Once I choose a user, I will lock this thread, and then unlock it/bump it when I'm ready to give out a new code.
