Blowout fade? Usually i ask for a high taper fade but my new barber does it a lil different than my old one and i dont know how to explain whats different. Plus im thinking of trying sum new and growing my hair and putting it in twists but i cant decide. I see pics and sometimes they look the same and sometimes they look completely different. I know i can show him a pic but im curious and want to know exactly what im gettin lol (im black btw)

Keeping it a stack though, most barbers won’t know the difference and will just give you a regular fade no matter what you ask for lmao. It’s always better to show a pic or visually show them where you want the fade to be at
I noticed :hah:
But idk i always thinking damn i dont want to show this man a pic everytime i go there. And idk if theyll remember if i dont lmao
Does it make sense to say i want the taper on the side and the back to connect just a lil bit but not super high :khaled:

Yeah they’ll know what you mean, just be as descriptive as possible, use your hands to show it if you have too.

By the way, you can’t go wrong with either the 2nd or 4th pic you posted :khaled2: not only look good but you can branch of into other styles without having to change much

show a pic. After you go for two they’ll remember. Especially if you make convo and tip good.

Whats a good tip? Last time i went i tipped for the first time. My old barber was cutting me since i was a kid n i aint have a job lol my dad never tipped so i aint think of tippin when i started payin for myself
when I started I got charged $15. So I just gave him a $20.
But even then once you start going on the regular he’ll notice what hairstyle you have and will most likely know what you want.

i used to be embarrassed about doing it but honestly just show a photo and be as descriptive as possible until you're sure he understands what you want

no.1 way to be disappointed with a trim is to be unclear about what you want and expect your barber to live up to whatever's in your head. think of it as a collaboration and remember ur paying for this service

Facts , some barbers are very conservative with it and do minor differences when you ask for a different type of fade w/o a pic.

when you next go in ask the barber for to rondafade he may be confused at first because its a little rare like a half moon so you might catch him off guard so you might have to repeat it a few times its also sometimes called a catcherfade so you might have to say that but you will be looking crisp afterwards
