An interesting fact, the pressure at the bottom of the Mariana Trench(11 km below ocean surface) is 16,000 psi.(Pounds per square inch and is equivalent to about 8 tons of pressure on a single square inch)
Another fun fact, if we were to build a sub to reach the bottom of the Mariana Trench and with that amount of pressure, if there was a pin hole sized leak, water would be powerful enough to cut one of your limbs off or saw you in half if you walked across it.
