The answer is simple...

Drake is at the apex of his fame as a person, and Views is his most hyped project to date. It was set up to sell, period. It was never going to not sell.

But it dropped and most people just didn't fuck with it. It was lukewarm, he didn't do much new, he didn't push his game forward much.

It's charting thanks to One Dance and his thotty, underage fanbase that doesn't care about music from a critical standpoint
