I've seen a bunch of hate for sampling when it comes to producing. That it's not original, or just copying someone else's music, that the producers aren't as talented.

But some of the GOAT producers sample. Kanye, Q-Tip, Dilla, Madlib, RZA, 9th Wonder. They all sample and they've put out some of the best hip-hop beats ever created.

So what's up with the sampling hate?

sampling is an art itself

but making a beat from scratch requires more skill and is harder. e.g. Tyler and The Neptunes

It was never about quality, you just said that its always easier to compose than to sample but that's simply not true :kanyeshrug:

Sampling by far makes the best beats :kanyeshrug:

Also it takes a SHIT ton of skill to do what some of the top producers do with samples.. flip them, etc.. like Dilla on "Waves" for example.. can't even tell it's a sample because he made something new. That takes just as much skill as composing tbh
