Nah I'm positive, it was only a tiny part of the song, the melody was exactly the same as the guitar on Wicked Games I only know it's real because I remember seeing it posted here back in the day, trying to make sure I'm not going mad tbh

Noooo I'm positive it was posted on here before, I'm sure it was in a thread about an interview talking about the production of Trilogy with either Doc or Illangelo I just can't for the life of me remember or find it, it wasn't a direct sample or anything like that they literally just copied a tiny part of it, I remember the song being pretty long like 11 - 14 mins long

I remember this, good find brudda but nah on god, it had this little plucky sounding acoustic guitar in it that sounded exactly the same as the guitar melody on Wicked Games, I'll find it eventually, i hope ?

Super late but I think you are thinking about how the guitar melody in wicked games sounds sort of similar to the melody in Heaven or Las Vegas by the Cocteau Twins. It would make sense for the weeknd to “sample” this because he has sample Cocteau twins before and is obviously a fan of them, but at the same time i never heard of he actually sampled heaven or las vegas in wicked games. Its just something that i noticed sound similar in both tracks.
