I listened to MOTM2 high for the first time last night and the production is top-notch. I finally downloaded FL Studio and I'm lost. I've been watching some tutorial vids and that's helped a bit, as far as knowing how the program works. I just don't know where to start. I think my main problem is I don't know how to make good melodies. I love music, but I don't really have any background with it whatsoever. So, any tips?

Melodies and shit will come with time. Since you are starting out, keep it simple. Nothing major, until you get comfortable with the program. You need to know basic music theory(like making sure you are playing notes in the same key.) but yeah, just listen to the type of beats you like and start out trying to emulate them, and as you get a little more comfortable, start paving your own lane.
