What really happened to Chris Wood that led to his death?
At the beginning of the video, you can clearly hear the reporter about to report on the death of a (presumed) teenager named Chris Wood, asking "What really happened on that Thursday here at Augusta High School that led to Chris Wood's death?"
The report seems like it would have gone well if not for the fly flying in his mouth, leading the reporter to let loose a string of expletives. This lasts for the duration of the rest of the video, closing with an apology from what I can only presume is the TV station itself.
But what really happened? I am bothered. A HUMAN BEING lost their life and Chris Wood's legacy will forever be tied to a few moments of anger involuntarily let loose from a local TV news reporter. What were his hopes? What were his dreams? Did he leave behind family? How did he die? WHO was Chris Woods?
I need answers, KTT.

Apparently, "In Augusta (AR) Chris Wood was beaten to death when he tried to break up a fight during a track meet. Six black youths were arrested. Police said they attacked the victim like sharks in a feeding frenzy. The media treated the crime as no big deal." (Sourced from a deeply racist newsletter I found in archives while researching racial tensions in the South, and edited to remove some of the worst racial slurs.)
But I need more, KTT, so I'm posting this on the off chance anyone has more info or even better, personally knew Chris Wood. I'm deducing that this video is either from the 90's or early 00's, so I know the chances are slim. But I need to try.
