No, it doesn't - it's part of a much larger theory. I am not going to start teaching it to KTT, though - it's harder to do than the String theory. Particle physics is a very confusing topic for many.

You need to be versed in the topics of nucleosynthesis, Hubble's law, cosmic radiation, dark energy and matter, cosmological parameters, Baryon asymmetry, the issues of anti matter vs matter, quantum fluctuations and so on...
