No shots at any religon or athiests, i just want to evoke discussion and see others view on the topic, maybe I can learn something.

started to cover the Roman empire and th begining of Christianity. As im reading the chapter, I keep questioning the whole idea of religon. It seems as if the foundation of many religions is just to give hope. Albeit that hope is needed, defintely back in the pre civilization days. The idea of morals helps make life better for everybody. Lets say ima broke boi back in the day and my neighbor Obama flexxxin all crazy, whats to stop me coming for your neck? If i thought it would risk my chances of going to some sort of afterlife maybe i would just grind it out.

So i got to thinking. Lets say there is no God as many do believe, how did EVERYTHING begin? the big bang theory? Admittingly I dont know to much about it  but from what i gather, it was a big explosion of energy that caused the formation of the universe as we know it. Ok, so where did that energy come from?  energy doesnt just poof out of thin air, it had to have a source.

:psyboom:

Once i get to that thought, God the only answer I can think of tbh

The only challenge for god would be to destroy himself and he did. That's what the Big Bang theory was. God destroying himself. And now we are all pieces of god, trying to put him back together.
Nooo cause we are able to reproduce so jn that case god should have the power to reproduce himself :hah:

To properly understand the Big Bang and raise well thought-out claims, you need to understand so much more than "energy exploded." You need to be versed in the topics of nucleosynthesis, Hubble's law, cosmic radiation, dark energy and matter, cosmological parameters, Baryon asymmetry, the issues of anti matter vs matter, quantum fluctuations and so on...

Found interesting discussion, I like, bump pls.

Anyway, I stumbled upon this a while ago. Tbh I don't really believe it, but it was a very interesting read though. Kinda inspired me too read more n kinda dig into questions like OP more too.

''Talking to God''

http://www.highexistence.com/mind-blowing-story-talking-to-god/

An excerpt from it:

So then we got down to business…

'Are you human?'

'No'

'Were you, ever?'

'No, but similar, Yes'

'Ah, so you are a produc.t of evolution?'

'Most certainly - mainly my own'

'and you evolved from a species like ours, dna based organisms or something equally viable?'

'Correct'

'so what, exactly, makes you god?'

'I did'

'Why?'

'Seemed like a good idea at the time'

'and your present powers, are they in any way similar to what the superstitious believers in my species attribute to you?'

'Close enough. '

'So you created all this, just for us?'

'No. Of course not'

'But you did create the Universe?'

'This One. Yes'

'But not your own?'

'This is my own!'

'You know what I mean!'

'You can't create your own parents, so No'

'So let me get this straight. You are an entirely natural phenomenon.'

'Entirely'

Anyways, it's quite a long read though. So to who does read it, whatdoyathink of the theories in this story? :O
