Living in the south for a little you learn clubs down here would play trap music 95 percent of the time if they could for the hype vibe, that's why so many are popping up. A nice hook and a good trap beat, build connections with a few Dj's and you're on your way. Not saying its easy by any means at all, still gotta grind like any artist... but the door isn't as hard to open. That's not to say maybe a couple of them sold drugs on that level, but the majority? i don't think so.

Samples are the essence of hip hop though my man. They've been used since it originated. Keep in mind that the first beats were crafted on turn tables with records being sampled. Without samples hip hop wouldnt exist.
