what does Buddhism say about it?
Buddhism says you should refrain from any intoxicants that would cause you to not be mindful, but i mean if you can control your ish, go for it.
kurt cobain did heroin to self medicate, he controlled it. so have alot of people. but you shouldnt do anything if you cant handle yourself. if youre being forreal. most buddhists would look down on it, but myself personally i keep an open mind. its your life, you should live it your way, but if you start fucking up other peoples lives [ie going in public and being extremely loud] cuz tbh youll probably get fucked up by someone, i hate loud people personally. im not a traditional buddhist in anyway, but im also young so that contributes to it. just do you. lol. i dont follow buddhism religiously, its a philosophy to me. i dislike the idea of "religion" cuz then its restrictive. buddha himself told his followers they shouldnt just accept everything he said, if they thought he was wrong they should challenge it and find their own answer. buddha didnt think of himself as being a god or anything, he was just helping people find what he had found. not everyones life is going to be the same, there has to be diversity or else life itself is boring. do your drugs, plants, whatev, but dont let them do you. and i wouldnt recommend staying 24/7 blasted either, thats not very clean for your body. lol. just dont allow yourself to revolve around a drug, let it revolve around you. let it be your moon, not you be its moon. if you get that.
