Vocals sound the same to me. I can see where you're getting at but I just can't explain why it sounds the same.

 

Honestly, I think they're trying to be more straightforward with Abel's voice and what he's capable of. Chances are a lot of what you heard the first time around were effects, and what you're hearing on the remaster is actually more of just how his voice is, stripped down.

this tbh. they took out the autotune but kept the reverb

I feel like they did that so you can hear the lyrics better... i remember people saying they could barely understand what he was saying so they just made it more clear

 

He's singing will a lot less emotion.

 

I don't know man. I think that this version sucks. He should kept the original and just mixed the instruments on there better an put it on trilogy.
