Piney :cryfam:

tbh I really think they jumped the shark this season

still incredibly enjoyable, but I just do not buy how much they upped the evil in Clay

forced to allow for tense drama :sarc2:
Wtf Gemma? :facepalm2:

"Our hands are as bloody as his" :fly: Nah bitch they aren't! Why would Unser go along with that shit? He can't be that whipped on some unrequited love bullshit. And why the fuck would Gemma tell Clay Tara's exact plans and location? You know goddamned well the man is willing to kill whoever the fuck he deems problematic! She could just as easily have told him that she convinced Tara not to share the letters without revealing that extra information.

Lmao when Juice went apeshit on the sheriff. Hopefully he warns the club or just kills himself already before he can do anymore stupid shit.

D: The preview for next week is crazy!

Gemma is so fucking delusional at this point. SMFH

Unser is a simp, that kiss Gemma gave him changed his mind.
I missed this episode the first 3 times it came on. Directv was having negotiation problems with Fox, because Fox wanted directv subscribers to pay 40% more monthly for their channels. Kurt Sutter actually did a commercial telling us that we should petition against this. I'm glad I didn't lose Fx, I need to watch watch the whole episode though.

still stand by this.

I still think Clay's behavior is suspect this season

sure we know he's down for the bad stuff, but his actions have been grounded in some sort of humanity and logic int he past, for him to progress with killing Tara now makes him as cheesy as a vaudeville villain, it's really just start to look like bad writing to me.

It's more like lazy writing.

We knew Clay could be a ruthless man, but like you said there still was some humanity to the character. Him going against Tara like that just doesn't make much sense to me. I know that Clay has got a lot to lose atm, but the Clay I knew from the first few seasons would handle the whole thing in a different way.

exactly. honestly it really bums me out, Clay is my favorite character, and tbh as a Ron Perlman fan I was just grateful to Sutter for handing him a not straight up villainous role. this season has been such a disappointment in that regard

but yeah, Clay season 1 was very clearly genuinely bent out of shape about killing Opie, and when it turned out to be Donna, you could see the remorse. now he's so damn [redacted] about killing Tara, and c'mon, he's been shown to love Jaxx in at least some sort of way, I just don't buy it. especially after the talk Gemma gave him last episode, I just don't think he'd do it

gahhh I am angry at Kurt Sutter
Agreed with the whole Clay situation. Not just that though but this seasons story is just too much like the past. Seems very lazy and like he's running out of ideas.
Anything happen after clay and gemma were talking on the swing? My episode didn't get recorded all the way.
I imagine he made the call to put the hit on Tara.

pretty much

was watching season two, even madder now. no way that Clay would just off Tara.

and, honestly, now that he knows Tara doesn't want to expose the letters and Piney's dead...there's legit no reason basically, the show has left all logic in favor of big bangs.

gahhh if Clay dies this season I'm out, Sutter.
Fourth Season of Sons of Anarchy Gets One Extra Episode

I've always thought of Clay as having a villainous streak, but before it was always subtle or nuanced. I'm starting to agree with some of you all that have been complaining about his character development. It just seems so abrupt as to be almost unbelievable. He has become a ridiculous caricature at this point. I was literally laughing out loud during some of his scenes. The dialogue didn't help either. "You played me for a chump!" :fly:

When is someone going to reveal those letters? I figured Tara, Gemma, or Unser would say something given the circumstances.

I wish the whole Juice storyline would wrap up already. I can't believe Juice would just say OK and thanks after the sheriff apologized for fucking his life over. I know Juice said it was too late for apologies, but still. Maybe I'm just biased against everything involving Juice at this point. :dno:
Like the homie above, I agree that Clay's downward spiral hasn't been plotted the best. It would have been better if we'd seen more glimpses of corruption foreshadowed throughout the series (i know there has been some, but not enough imo) instead of piling it all on us now.

Maggie Siff's (Tara's) acting in the final hospital scene was amazing.
Clay has officially lost it. When Jax will be killing him(because It's no longer a question of 'if', but more a question of 'when' and 'how'), I I won't even flinch. Btw, the writing this season has been a fucking mess.
