I wouldn't really call Juice a beloved character...I'd say out of any of the sons he's got perhaps the most background role (aside from Happy who's random appearances nearly confuse me)

anyway I didn't really like them playing the Sons as a racist club...hope they don't lean hard in that direction

I also hope we don't get put through a standardized "make them the bad guy" degrading of Clay's character, he's too complicated and interesting for that shit. didn't even really buy him threatening Gemma tbh, y'alls takes? seemed hella out of character, his actions are typically guided by her / his love for her, only time he's expressed anger at her before is keeping him out, and he still didn't physically threaten her (well maybe her car ha)

comin from the guy w/ the Clay avy I guess I'm suspect to be fair :hah:

I've always viewed Clay as kind of sinister. Him attacking Genna did seem a little abrupt, though.

just my 2 cents but I view him as the consummate leader, makes tough calls he doesn't even like, because he has to. It's easy to forget he's been leading this bunch through years of shit like this, can't help but harden a man. Imo when it comes down to it he's a big teddy bear. Re-watching the series and little things the writers and/or Ron does throughout really make his character that much more interesting each time I reassess him

Trying to get into this show on Netflix.

Not looking good so far.

Maybe if there was an appearance from Kelly Bundy.
Finally got around to watching last weeks episode. That race card theyre pulling on Juice pissed me off. Then the cop saying "we'll be in touch my brother" really annoyed me too. Also I kinda lol'd when I saw the kid from Holes.

Agree with Zarlac about Clay making decisions he doesnt want to, cause he has to.

Ron Perlman as Clay Morrow - 'Sons of Anarchy'

There have been biker outlaws on TV before, but none as cool or terrifying as Clay Morrow, the patriarch of Sons of Anarchy played with lethal charisma by Ron Perlman. As a grizzled Vietnam vet who leads his motorcycle gang ever deeper into violence, he will beat, shoot or stab anyone who gets in his way - all while complaining about his arthritis. To Perlman, Clay's ruthlessness stems from his roots as a warrior. "Most of the motorcycle clubs were the result of veterans coming back from war," he says. "They couldn't assimilate into the culture, so they decided to create a realm of their own, founded on loyalty, honor and family. And so, of course, they're outlaws."

In other words - as Bob Dylan used to sing - to live outside the law, you must be honest? "I quote that line every day," says Perlman, a hardcore Dylan fan. "To me, that's as potent a mirror as you could hold up to the better nature of man."

At 61, Perlman has played tough guys before, including the lead in Hellboy. But Clay is a special challenge. "He has no self-doubt," Perlman says. "Clay's right, and that's the way it is, man. Even when he's wrong."

I enjoyed last night's episode. I also like Gemma's new "friendship" with Roosevelt's wife, Rita.

4x05 - 'Brick' Promo

Yo D....explain to me why Gemma is building a friendship with her. Has to do with Tara right?

Also...does anyone else think Piney is gonna get into some shit with Clay and Gemma?

I think that Gemma wants to get Tara in trouble with signing her to Rita's club. Something's fishy about the whole thing. I don't know. We'll have to wait and see where it goes from here.

I feel that Piney, Bobby and Juice might get in real trouble this season.
looks like from the promo for next ep. that juice flips on the club. kinda upset.

think piney could get caught up in some shit. basically confronts clay about johns murder
And what exactly is Rita's club? Also any guess on why they showed the scene with the Sheriff in the hospital...relating them not being able to have children. I wonder how thats going to work into the show.

Quirk...I'm pretty sure that Juice isn't going to sell out the club. I think they purposely made the previews to make it seem like that. But...I could be wrong.

Rita's club is all about not letting the park be destroyed, but I think we know Gemma only signs up just to stop the park from becoming the new retail land for the Mayor. She and SAMCRO hate that motherfucker.
