• Made storytelling rap what it is today

• Arguably the best story telling in rap history

• Has at least one classic under his belt (The Great Adventures of Slick Rick) and one borderline classic (The Art of Storytelling)

• Broke the mold of the typical rapper in the Golden Age of Hip-Hop

• Classic songs: La Di Da Di, Children's Story, Hey Young World

• Some of the greatest artists in Rap history site Slick Rick as a major influence including- NaS, Andre 3000, Ghostface Killah, Mos Def

• His songs have been sampled or remade by some of the greatest rappers including: Snoop Dogg, Black Star, Jay-Z, Old Dirty Bastard, Ice Cube, KRS-One, and countless more

I would rank Slick Rick as a top 5 most influential rapper, where does he make it on your list?

never heard of him is he still rapping?
he drops a guest verse every now and then...he had a verse on the first single to Chamillionaire's 2nd album. But he hasn't released an album in over 10 years.
