Your best bet is to go to a gamestop the day before it releases, and pay a little extra to get it early. It's possible if you get the right person.

Sites don't break street date, games release early in some regions though (Asia for example) so check http://www.play-asia.com/ for stuff like that.. of course you might end up paying more by importing.. also make sure there's no region locking and you get a version w/ english

Check local mom & pop video game and electronics stores near you, there's a good chance they break street date for games.

Sounds hella illegal. lol I remember the hype around the hope that WTT would leak and somebody brought up the implications that would fall on that one retail employee that decided he'd break street date. Would never finish paying damages back. On the contrary though, I'd think the labels would be able to squeeze more out than a publisher like Activision, as big as it also is.

Your best bet is to call every local video game store in the area 1-2 days before the release date (try googlemaps).
I bought COD:MW2 3 days before it actually came out from this local, very low-key video gamestore. Will never forget it!

We used to have a really small game/dvd shop at the top of our street. The guy was awesome, and would always give us games like 3 days earlier... But it's gone now :'(

I miss that shop :cry:
