Why the hell did Abel not recruit Silky as a producer, his sampling game is honestly amazing and Kiss Land (track) was the best part of the album. Need him back.

The reverb is also missing, I always thought the dream pop influence in The Weeknd was great. The walls of reverb sounded so amazing on his voice and now he doesn't use any of it so his voice just sounds so plastic and bland now tbh. It just doesn't have the same feeling

true. It doesn't even feel like he's singing anymore. It's more like rapping. Where's the random humming and harmonizing. I don't want trilogy but rather something new and fresh
i like the way he progressed on in vein and im good.  those r great.  talking about how he made it and how he's successful and still keeping the classic weeknd sound,  but the new tracks r fuckin terrible .  he's going for shock value w vulgar lyrics, melodies and lyrics gone down the fuckin drain,  it's just not what I want to hear from the weeknd.

Money probably. (idk)
Producers get heaps of the cut from an album compared to petty samplers.

And because he's producing the song, The Weeknd would have to deal with sampling that chorus in 1st half of kiss land

So instead of it being ie a 20% cut for the guy, Abel would lose money from silkys sample & silky

I agree. I like both even though both verses were short. I like both koft and often cuz ima stan but i smh sometomes when i listen to them. Like really? This is the same guy who made the knowing
I'm a stan myself and they're still ok songs but that's not what I want to hear from abel.  I would expect something like often from pnd or ty$ not the fuckin ***** who made hob, thursday and echoes of silence

Honestly, I don't see how that makes sense. I'd say out of any of his album tracks, Kiss Land is most like KOTF, and apparently everyone hates the style of KOTF. Doesn't make sense to me, but I agree, and album like that would be hype AF
id king of the fall production and lyrics where kinda all over the place.

Kissland had a dope ass hands down one of his best beat switchup and flows to good.
