Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever "--

Tree of Life = LOVE?

no it's not
Tree of life was Gods promise with man of everlasting life
Yes which was won by Christ's cross

The cross of Christ is also referred to as the tree of life, and in the service books,Jesus is sometimes likened to a "divine cluster" of grapes hanging on the "Tree of the Cross" from which all partake in Holy Communion.

This theme is also found in Western Christianity. By way of an archetypal example consider Bonaventure's "biography" of the second person of the Trinity, entitled "The Tree of Life."

Everything in the old testament has a parallel in the new testament, and in fact is more clearly revealed in the New Testament.

you are right though in the sense that the cross is the ultimate form of love, man has no greater love than to give up his life for a friend
