potential musical guests on SNL this season (wishful thinking)

Sufjan Stevens
Robyn
Arcade Fire
LCD Soundsystem
The Black Keys
The National

all these acts have gone pretty mainstream as of late with solid numbers on the billboard 200

SNL has a talented cast, but the problem is that the writing is so watered down. It has no edge and it doesn't take any risks. The characters they try to make are so simple and played out, that it just seems that SNL feels that because of their history can just smirk at the camera and expect some laughs. I don't blame the hosts either.

I honestly don't understand the meaning of that skit; it isn't funny at ALL. They need new writers and even their skits, which kept them relevant in the mid 00's, are slowly falling off. None of these newbies seems to bring anything new to the table either.

I agree with everything but i like the guy that does the will smith and denzel impression.. i feel like they could do funny stuff with that.. but instead they put the characters in absolutely pointless and not funny situations... idk..
