I hate naming genres, but whatever, amazing stuff coming out of that scene. here are some of my favorites from the bigger producers this year:

LV and Zomby are shit hot, and I hope Ikonika does a full-length at some point.

Post-dubstep though? Haha, I know you mentioned that you don't like labelling so it's not your fault, but have we reached the 'post-' stage of dubstep already?!

Is James Blake considered post-dubstep

Ikonika's full length is out! (Called "Contact, Love, Want, Have" great title) Quality, but the EP she released a few months later shows a lot growth.

And yeah, the post-dubstep label isn't the best. I've seen it used to distance producers from that heavy midrange chainsaw "bass" that has been abused. It's definitely dubstep (~140 bpm + sub love), but not the stuff people expect to hear like when they see "dubstep remix" on youtube, which I think is scaring people away from some of the most interesting electronic music being made right now.

Or whatever you want to call it, totally. His first two solo releases were on Untold's and Ramadanman's labels. And he's keeping that sub heavy, incredible on that Feist cover. I like his piano stuff, but his bright synth work was awesome, I hope he brings some of it back on his album.

I can't believe I didn't know this, because I did know about the EP. Thanks for the info. I should have gone and looked properly; my reason for not thinking there was an album out was that I just check Hyperdub release lists and have never seen it on one, which is bizarre. Makes me wonder if there are other Hyperdub CDs I've missed.

Man I havent really read the replies but the op songs are not dubstep and they just arent good imo. The james blake remix isnt that good either. Based on those 5 I have to say you guys don't really know much about dubstep.

lol enlighten  us on what dubstep is. Fucking Skillrex? Fucking Rusko? LMFAO And you sound dumb as hell for not even reading the replies btw, since they were more informative than your  "you guys dont really know much about dubstep." response.
