Before RapGenius and IG and Twitter, rap fans had to put forth effort into the culture.

Confused on a lyric?
Buy the album and read the lyric book or rewind multiple times to figure it out.

Wanna know why so and so are beefing?
Buy The Source, XXL or listen to the radio for an interview.

Want your favorite artists new album?
Go to the store and buy it.

More so than any genre Hip-Hop required its' fans to be invested because of how integral words are and how that can be confused from time to time.

I just feel like this contributes to artists dumbing down their music, you don't have to be putting in time or fully invested as a fan now a days.

The internet unites rap culture even more than ever and makes it 10x more diverse than it ever was. The fact that youre posting on an online forum prooves that youre investing into the culture. Plus we can connect even more with the artists becuase of social media. Were evolving.
