I'm sitting here listening to Kaleidoscope, Kelis' debut album, and it's dope as hell. I downloaded it on a whim because I randomly felt like hearing Caught Out There
I HATE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!
and I'm so glad I did. WAAAAY ahead of its time.

So what are some random albums you decided to listen to on your own way late that turned out to be great? NOT classics you heard of when you were young or saw someone talking about on here, but just "regular" albums.

If you like alternative music and trip hop (think Massive Attack) then you might enjoy it.
Yeah, I'm a big Trip-Hop fan though I don't care for Massive Attack too much tbh :mindfk:

Is it comparable to Portishead?

I think it is. Bjork dabbled around in many different genres on this particular album, but I see some similarities to her stuff and Portishead's.
