According to MovieHole, Raging Bull II, a sequel to the Martin Scorsese 1980 Oscar-winning classic, is in its casting phase and will be going into production this summer. Based on the book by Chris Anderson, Sharon McGehee and Jake LaMotta, the film is being directed by Martin Guigui and will star William Forsythe as LaMotta, the character portrayed by Robert De Niro in the original. What's funny about this casting is that Forsythe played Al Capone in the early 90s television spinoff of The Untouchables, so this will be the second time that the actor has stepped into De Niro's shoes. The two also worked together in Once Upon a Time in America. Production is aiming to start in June and you can head over to the source to see some of the casting calls.
