i never liked that show anyway, it just seems like the tv version of high school musical, obviously completely different but can't say they aren't similar. It is verrry popular though so i don't see it going down the train anytime soon.

I think the main problem with the show is RYAN MURPHY!!!!! GOD that dude is awful, he should just hand over the show to Falchuk and Brennan.Linus said:It's always been pretty awful IMO. I mean, the show had some promise back when it first started. But the show doesn't know what it wants to be. It tries to say: "we don't take it that seriously" - but then It takes itself too seriously with these moral message episodes. Half the time the moral lessons are just so off and laughably wrong, that the episodes fall flat. Case and point, episode in Season 1 where Kurts dad makes this tearful speech about Finn being intolerant to gays. I mean, you could tell they were trying to go for something big there. However, the message fell flat because Kurt had been sexually harassing Finn. And instead of telling his dad, okay, I'm also responsible for this. He just stands by and plays the victim. Now, I know in Season 2 they finally addressed this, where Kurt's dad found out he didn't tell all the truth. But still, it was so half assed and the entire thing was bad.
The other issue I have with the show is how unlikeable the characters are. Rachael half the time is this selfish annoying bitch (although they are trying to make her nice now). Will (the teacher) - is a fucking douche. How many times has this guy used his kids for his own personal gain? I'm not saying the guy can't make a mistake or two, but damn this guys is a dick. His plot pursuing Emma has just been embarrassing this season. Half the other actors in the club are just annoying or unlikeable. So really, any time the show tries to get preachy with a message, or try to instill some kind of moral lesson, it's hard to take it seriously with these terrible people being the providers of said lesson. The show is really at it's best when it doesn't take itself seriously, and just a parody/cliche of highschool.
I don't know why I wrote so much about this show. I don't even know why I still watch it. I guess I'm a pop culture junkie, and like to take in a lot of what is big (because I find it fascinating, even the terrible stuff.) But this show is getting border line unwatchable.
