Does the RIAA (Recording Association of America) account for album purchases that occur digitally on itunes, or from sites like Amazon, etc. that ship the album IN ADDITION to hard copies being sold in stores to determine how fast a certain album goes platinum?

Also, considering itunes, suppose someone buys...8 of the songs of MBDTF and then goes back later and purchases the rest of the album. Does that count as a purchase of the entire album even though they did it in parts?

Thanks to anyone who can answer this stuff.

I just feel like these factors will seriously affect how well Ye does the first week.

No that goes to the single sales only - wouldn't count toward the album - even if they buy each track individually (which would probably come up to being more money so I don't know why anyone would lol)
