Got how it works.

If you go to the Pottermore website, you have to keep clicking refresh. Eventually the clue will pop up. [I waited till I saw my HP fanpages on FB post it]. Then you solve the clue [tonight's relates to the 2nd book], and add your answer to the end of quill.pottermor​e.com. If you're right, then you might get a Sony ad [I did]. Then the page fills with quills. Click the magic one [surrounded by a blue outline]. If registration spots are open, you get to fill out your info. If they're closed for the day, it'll take you to the homepage, and you have to wait for the next day's clue.
