I'd say 8.5/10.  GREAT album, but not quite a classic... yet.

Then Gotta Have it comes on..

Then New Day...

Then TMB...

A solid 9. The term classic has never really meant anything. It was and is still just a word placed on things that others held in high value and stood some sort of 'test of time' so-to-speak. Nothing is truly classic per-say . Just because something isn't made the same way it was doesn't make it classic. Just because other things grew and changed around you doesn't make what you used to know classic. There are just certain things you preferred and believe to be timeless because it's not done or made the same way anymore. That goes for cars, music, pop culture, women, values, systems, etc.
