My Cubs are gonna fuck it up like always. Jim Hendry FTL as a GM. Rumors have it that our big FA "splash" will be Nick Johnson

Pretty sure Cliff Lee will stay where he is, Carl Crawford will either be an Angel, a Yankee, or Red Sox, and Jayson Werth will either stay in Philly or go to somewhere like Texas or another team that will spend the cash to get an OF.
Nick Johnson
yankees signed him and he got hurt and missed the whole season
the cubs would be in even worse shape if they get him lol

Yeah it's a travesty when you expect a 6 year deal worth over 100 million after a season like that and at the age he is.

And BTW Jeter is the only Yankee I like. He is just being a greedy douchebag with his demands. Know your value dude.
isn't the objective to make money? lol
jeter can ask for w/e he wants
doesn't mean he will get it

he will test the free agent market and will eventually come back to the 3 yr/45 mil the yanks are offering
we just need to sit back and relax and even if he goes..it wont be a bad thing for the yankees cause he chose to go on his own terms..we didnt force him out and then we get rid of a overplayed player

"If the Red Sox indeed showed interest in Rivera, then perhaps they subscribe to a long held view in the Yankee Universe: Mariano Rivera > Jonathan Papelbon. Ouch."

mo coming back to NY

Cubs traded away too much minor league talent for Garza lol

"Headlining the prospects package is right-handed starter Chris Archer, who was just days ago ranked as the Cubs top prospect by Baseball America. Archer was touted as having two plus-plus pitches — a mid-90s fastball and a big slider and BA suggested he could develop into either a front-line starter or a closer.

The rest of the package included SS Hak-Ju Lee (the No. 4 Cubs prospect), OF Brandon Guyer (Cubs minor league player of the year), C Robinson Chirinos (Cubs best defensive catcher who hit 18 homers last year) and OF Sam Fuld (injury prone fourth outfielder type)."

yanks get Rafael Soriano
