Jayson Werth please no.  Anyone can hit 25 homeruns in a Philadelphia ballpark.

I'd still like to see the Giants go after Prince Fielder in some way.  He can play first, move Huff in the outfield, decline signing Burrell.  Uribe to shortstop, Derosa will be our super utility man and see if Pablo can get it back together.

My Cubs are gonna fuck it up like always. Jim Hendry FTL as a GM. Rumors have it that our big FA "splash" will be Nick Johnson

Pretty sure Cliff Lee will stay where he is, Carl Crawford will either be an Angel, a Yankee, or Red Sox, and Jayson Werth will either stay in Philly or go to somewhere like Texas or another team that will spend the cash to get an OF.

Cliff Lee IMO going to Yanks
Jayson Werth IMO is staying where he's at
Carl Crawford IMO is going to Texas to replace an aging Vlad.  Imagine Andrus Young Crawford Hamilton as your top 4 hitters, deadly.

Renteria' option declined.  IMO he's going to sign with the Giants in a most lessor role.

Yet they have 2 more world series titles than the braves, mets, & many other teams in the last 12 years.
in 1997 and 2003 Jeffrey Loria was pouring money into the franchise. Now, the marlins have the lowest payroll in the league. Their former Manager, Fredi Gonzalez, led them to 2 winning seasons with the lowest payroll and still got fired. Most people think that Loria is the worst owner in the MLB.

quote from Bobby Cox after Fredi Gonzalez was fired:
"I know that guy (Loria) is unpredictable, but …. after everything (Gonzalez) has done for that guy, are you shitting me? They have gone down to the end (of the playoff race) every year, playing their asses off. That guy doesn't appreciate anything. He's one of those guys that thinks you change (for the sake of change). He's always wanting to fire the coaches, always. That's his history."

I'll say it again, doesn't matter what moves he's done, he's won his fair share of championships in these last 12 years, not many teams can say that. And Fredi what was his winning percentage? Shit was just around .500, you act as if he did a miracle with that team, they didn't even make the playoffs under him

Wasn't their payroll like 1/9 of the Yankees? Id say it was a miracle
Payroll means shit, the Rangers were 25th in payroll and look at how good thir team was. The Marlins have a bunch of young talented players who have yet to get rid of their rookie/original contracts. their low payroll doesn't translate to how good they really are. So to say Fredi did a miracle because of their payroll is a worthless point

whatever. most people think recently that organization has been shit

Just because you don't spend doesn't make you a shit organization. WTF do they have to spend anyways when the fans out in Florida can't even put up 15,000 in attendance per game. They're getting a new stadium in a year or two, maybe that'll help, also since they locked their all star down for 7-8 years

well he also has a problem with waiting cause he fires managers way to fast. Sometimes it takes time for a team to get good
