I've never really been against penalizing players for helmet to helmet and have never been a fan of the term "dirty" hit and I never thought I'd say this but I think I'm siding with Goodell on this one.
that legrand hit was scary/ i was shocked watching it.★iGotToShine said:I hate to say it because I like to let the players play, but I have to side with Goodell on this one. These helmet-to-helmet hits are too much. Concussions are becoming a big thing in the NFL now. This week in football(college and NFL) I counted at least 8 helmet-to-helmet hits where players where taken out of the game. One of them being LeGrand from Rutgers which he is now paralyzed and football career is over. A rule needs to be put down which causes less helmet-to-helmet hits.

It's not fair that an offensive player has to be critically injured and out for an extended period of time while the defender gets nothing.august4th said:^^^^only rule is no hitting at all
players are to fast and big to stop themselves in blink of a eye,,,,,
did the guy who hit d-jack leave the game do to that hit ?Tito. said:It's not fair that an offensive player has to be critically injured and out for an extended period of time while the defender gets nothing.
Yes, helmet to helmet is almost always incidental, but that doesn't mean there should be no reprucussions.
Yes but there were like five hits yesterday.august4th said:did the guy who hit d-jack leave the game do to that hit ?
I've seen defensive players get knocked out from the hits as well
so.....
I've seen a lot more offensive players leave than defensive players. The ratio isn't even close to even.august4th said:so you never seen the hitters leave games do to hits ?
and like I said
no rule or fine will stop the hits.....hits have been in the game for over 50 years.....
and players on both sides of the ball have suffered major injuries from hits
