it's just a way of saying hi to the listener and engaging them

i loved the narration on the first album but for some reason im really glad its not on this album
i think it would ruin the vibe of this one

at first i thought some narration wouldve really tied the album together more.

but after listening to the album a couple times im not sure

Narration is cool to have for the beginning of the acts and stuff but it isn't THAT missed in my opinion. I was just hoping for an intro speech to this album like the one Common had at the end of "In My Dreams".
Such an awesome speech.
