This is almost seems typical with artists... I bet everyone in his circle smiles and everything Kanye does and never tell him wrong... He seriously needs people around him telling him some of the things he does are not cool..

... Kanye the artistic is amazing and talented... but Kanye the person, needs to calm down and realize he is just a human being like the rest of us..

... Sometimes I wish I could tell him this to his face...

great point.

I've always thought Don C was a bad influence. I've met dude a few times and he's by far one of the biggest assholes ever. He makes Kanye sociably acceptable

Shrugs. The article is still written in an annoying tone if you ask me. It takes little shots here and there that I don't think are necessary or add anything to it.
but that equates to you bashing the whole publication company? or even enough to go on Twitter and go apeshit?

But the guy is a journalist... He's giving a review, if he doesn't like the film then his job is to review it ain't point out it's flaws... Kanye got mad cuz the review wasn't kissing his ass so he decided to pick out the fact that dude didn't put "beautiful" in the album title to justify his rant... He wasn't lying when he said he thinks like a 5-year-old...

Ye went to far but I see why he's mad... With the tone of that article, it's not just a negative review, it's one of those snide attempts to rain on the aura of positivity surrounding the premiere.

But then, coming on the heels of recent premieres in New York, Paris and London, this latest “Runaway” screening also functioned as a forum for the hip-hop superstar’s grandiose sense of self as well as West’s latest assertion of the increasing insignificance that mainstream media holds in his promotion process.
Implying he has delusions of grandeur.

Describing himself as a “philanthropist of culture,” a “soldier” and a “cultural icon” in remarks after the screening, West admitted there were times he considered taking his own life, presumably at points after his mother’s accidental death in 2007.
Trying to pull a few "voice of our generation" memes with the sarcastic air-quotes.

“I contemplated suicide,” West told an audience consisting of friends, creative collaborators, radio programmers and media types.
Making his suicide confession look insincere with the sentence structure.

i remember when Time wrote about his BET performance of Power, they did something similar. Very shady and un-necessarily negative.

Well, yeah, sort of. When you work for a company, you represent that company. What one LA Times writer does reflects on the LA Times. If one inserts asshole remarks or doesn't fact check properly then that's what often happens, people form opinions of the entire entity.

Probably shouldn't go apeshit on twitter, but obviously he realized that...as he deleted it.

If this is supposed to be a "review" I wouldn't consider it a very good one. There's a difference between reviewing something and just giving a play by play with a bunch of negative condescending remarks here and there. You'll notice most of the negative remarks aren't even about the film, they are about HIM.

Exactly. The negativity is personally aimed at him. I think that's why he's mad, not because someone didn't like his film.

But that's just my take.

Just the vibe he puts out and how he speaks to people, not a good look. Met him a few times in L.A., wasn't rude to me, but to his surroundings. It all depends on the environment i'll admit

it was still kind of fucked up to the writer.
it shouldnt even affect kanye.
kanye has more important things to worry about
then to go and give a rant.
he bashed him hard he said his name like twice
this dude could probably get fired.
what happened to kanye being all nice?
i guess he been pretty tired and stressed recently..

the journalist was just trying to find something wrong with it, by pointing out that there were only black people at the table and that the white people were servants. Also there were other things like they made fun of runaway like stating how he sent the nude pictures. They were hating on something good. But kanye seemed mad because they mis advertised his album name by leaving out beautiful.

yeah true true but i dont think kanye should have been offended by it so much that he had to tweet about it

Some of you guys act like putting out a tweet is some major flying off the handle reaction. It's a tweet. How many people carefully consider all their tweets? It's not some drastic measure. People complain non stop on twitter. I think he was just in the moment and felt slighted so he said it, then deleted it. Pretty common practice on social media lol.
