Kanye West has finally defeated the now-folded virtual currency Coinye, NBC News reports. Documents filed this week mark the end of the lawsuit, which had West going up against a currency featuring his cartoon likeness.
Earlier this year, Kanye's lawyers filed a trademark-infringement suit against Coinye, and shortly afterwards, the currency's creators posted this message to their website: "Coinye is dead. You win, Kanye."
NBC reports that Kanye's lawyers filed 84 court documents this year, naming 100 unknown people and a handful of named defendants. Several defendants lost the case by default when they didn't respond to the allegations. Three settled with West.
