Is TPAB the most critic bait thing we've ever had in rap?

I mean regardless of how good or bad it was (I didn't like it at all) but the content of it and what he's talking about is pure critic bait I mean he simply can't lose at the Grammys

The thing is, if those movies are actually trash, the critics fucking trash them. Like that Amelia Earhart movie. Most critics aren't stupid enough to give a great review simply because they feel they have to. If the movie is bad but it's a serious subject they'll give a tepid review at best. TPAB been getting great reviews across the board from regular listeners and critics so fuck it let's say it is critic bait, what does it matter? They really found it to be that good.

most people only watch a movie once though. its easier to create some bullshit pseudo depth that people can pretend ( or not even have to pretend ) to feel attached to

people listen to albums way more and even people not that into music listen repeatedly and can analyze meaning

critic bait is a v. real thing in movie industry. not necessarily just "politically correct" ( read: movies about slavery ) movies that are accused of it. there's a really specific look and formula to a movie that wins lots of awards and tons of movies go for it
