Is TPAB the most critic bait thing we've ever had in rap?

I mean regardless of how good or bad it was (I didn't like it at all) but the content of it and what he's talking about is pure critic bait I mean he simply can't lose at the Grammys

Well the Grammys are kinda random half the time especially for AOTY (beck?) so I wouldn't say that has much to do with anything. As far as the 96/100 goes critics love artsy music and Kendrick is one of if not the most artsy rapper ever so its just kinda a no-brainer really

critic bait only really makes sense for movies

although i do sort of see what you were getting at its pretty clear kendrick as an artist and person actually cares about the issues he's talking about on TPAB. I doubt critical reception or awards ran through his head during creation of the album much
