Is Kanye becoming a glorified Khaled?

We all know Kanye barely even produces anymore, he only had a few production credits on Yeezus. From the sounds of the Rick Rubin article, and the quality of lyricism on the album, he doesn't seem to putting much emphasis or effort in lyrics. Besides that, we've heard a million times that a lot of people write for him.

Has Kanye become a rich mans Khaled?

he can outsource the work and recoup a tremendous profit for selling as a kanye brand

it's good business. art is often form over function. he is more what he represents than what he is.

it would be difficult to recreate yeezus organically. he has to do it this way to create the art he wants to create.

This. Plus by exec producing, he ultimately still shapes the whole sound of the album.

DJ Khaled doesn't do a lot of things
Neither does Ye. He isn't producing much, his writing sucks if he even is writing, aside from that he's playing the same role Khaled does in his albums. Not saying that Yeezus isn't good, I'd give it a 7-8, but let's be real, his role isn't much different.
