It's 2020. Hillary is running for reelection. The Republican Party is now widely seen as racist and a joke thanks to the failed Trump campaign.

Enter the Scorpion King Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

He's charismatic. Af. He's a good speaker. His job is delivering lines. He would rock that debate stage like the world has never seen.

He's got name recognition. Who would you rather drink a beer with? The Rock, star of Pain and Gain, or Hillary Clinton?

He's racially ambiguous. Is he white? Black? Mixed? Was his dad half Asian and half Hispanic, and his mom half white and half black? Whatever the case, everybody identifies with the Rock.

He's basically got all the positives that Trump has, without the racist baggage. He's got the WWE fans (all the southern states are already a lock). He'll get the minority voters (hello swing states). He may even be the key to winning California :oh:

And he's the republican's secret weapon. Hillary will be 72. She will probably be distracted with the walking skeleton Bill Clinton's increasingly fragile health and unfocused on the campaign. The democrats haven't won four consecutive terms in nearly 100 years. The republicans are basically a lock for 2020. If the Rock becomes their nominee, it will be one of the biggest landslide victories, and will redeem the Republican Party from the ashes that Trump's failure will bring it to.

Everybody agree on this?

This is not gonna happen. Can we stop trying to put celebrities up for office. Seriously the GOP is gonna go in the complete opposite direction after Trump loses, they're gonna go right back to the establishment guys. Bet on it

The Rock will be the most establishment candidate of all time. He will literally be a puppet. When he goes on the debate stage, he will be acting. But it will work, because he will be the most likable candidate to ever run for office. He will be our John F. Kennedy. He will win in a Reagan style landslide.

Bet

Who said that about Trump? The thing people liked about Trump was that he was an outsider, that he was self funded so he didn't have to speak for anybody. It was obvious from the start that he was uncontrollable.

The Rock will be talked into running by conservative big guns (including his old pal, and donor, McMahon). But people will still think he's an outsider. The establishment will have their cake, and eat it too :oh:

People like him cause he speaks to their xenophobic views and gives people a target they can scapegoat.

That's the reason racists like him, yes. He has less fans now than he did months ago because of his continued racism. At first, he was exciting because of his anti-establishment qualities.

He was never really "anti-establishment" though.

I don't feel like he is truly an establishment candidate. He seems uncontrolled, the establishment has been scrambling to replace him and still haven't fully accepted him

Realistically, Paul Ryan will be president in 2020
Paul Ryan is too much of a goodie 2 shoes for me, he is weak at being the speaker and I'm just not a fan. I'd vote for Ben Shapiro in a millisecond though... I do think wre could use an outsider because Republicans are just so bad at everything they do it's extremely frustrating. So much more they could be doing that they simply don't do because in part feel like they're too good to do.
