Thinking about getting an Asus laptop but nobody I know has one so I haven't gotten any reviews aside from some online reviews.

Anybody have one and is it worth $750?

Asus and Lenovo are well-known quality brands of computers. Get it.

And stay away from HP and Dell.

I was just gonna say only the lower end Dells are crap, but it somehow just hit me that the higher end ones are ridiculously overpriced and not worth it either.

It looks nice and the specs are great, but it's expensive and the battery life sucks.

I remember reading a thread somewhere that said the Nvidia card in them wasn't fully supported, but that was back in June.

It's up to you really. I haven't heard anything bad about them, and I don't really like the touchscreen.

I found these:

Get whatever you like, if you leave it up to us you'll never come to a conclusion.

I like the Acer Aspire S7, Dell XPS lineup and MacBooks :dno:

Yo fam, I'm trying to get a new desktop, and I'm down to these 3 (an ASUS, Lenovo, and a Dell). Which would you say I should get?

https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-H50-Desktop-Windows-90BG003JUS/dp/B011HNT8EW/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1468456623&sr=1-6&refinements=p_n_operating_system_browse-bin%3A12035945011%2Cp_72%3A1248879011%2Cp_36%3A30000-70000%2Cp_n_feature_two_browse-bin%3A7817230011

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-inspiron-3650-desktop-intel-core-i5-12gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-silver/4827002.p?id=bb4827002&skuId=4827002

(I can get a student discount on the Dell that would make it $420)

Basically which brand would you go with since they're all similar price and features? Except for the fact that the Lenovo has a crazy amount more hard drive space, but I don't know if Lenovo is as solid as Dell and Asus in terms of desktops :khaled:

What are you using them for? All of them come with integrated graphics you know and no SSD, although I don't know what Skylake's graphics are like. But all brands are great. Dell may have a more responsive customer service and you'll likely find more places that can service it if need be. The Dell is also much better speced.

The most intensive stuff I'd be doing with it is editing music in Adobe Auditon and editing images in Photoshop. I don't game :dno:

You think the specs on the Dell make it more worthwhile than the extra terabyte on the Lenovo? :khaled:

I also saw this Asus that I could get for $600 that has an 8 gb SSD that's used as a cache. But it's quite a bit pricier

I'm biased so I don't necessarily take for AMD, plus the Dell has DDR4 ram

Like I said: Look for a desktop with a SSD as its primary storage. It'll make a worlds difference, and you can pick up and drop in extra storage if needed for little or nothing

Apparently that Dell actually has DDR3L ram :dno:

But thanks for all the help! :salute:
