not necessarily 10, lets say 4-5 at least. but imo a classic album is that. you cant really tell before that time if people will still remember it for years to come

I guess, a timeless record that has universal acclaim and pushes the boundaries in that certain genre of music.

Never gets old. i.e. you could listen to it ten years after its release and it's still fresh

Masterpiece and Classic are two different things imho.

I also respect the people think think classic = timeless masterpiece, but to me, classic = timeless/remembered.

one thing to consider is take an album like Paid In Full. It was released 25 years ago and is still held in high esteem. Will some of the great albums of the 2000s be remembered like that. Probably not. Just an idea of how to judge.
