even come close to Lupe lyrically?  Like can you pull visuals from their lyrics and actually feel motivated to go out and learn, or go back to school or any of that from their songs?  Seriously, Lupe is the one artist that I haven't gotten tired of, every other one I've listened to just doesn't do it for me.  When I heard some of BOB's mixtape stuff I got a little excited, then I heard a song where he talked about failing out of school and getting bad grades and shit and I was like eh whatever, then his album came out and I barely play his stuff any more.

Nas, Eminem, Common, BlackStar, and Q-Tip come to mind, but Lupe's on a whole 'nother level than all of 'em.  :dno:

They've all got their own styles, though, each to their advantage.  I just like Lupe's more...the English language is pretty much his play toy. :p

Lyrically Lupe has no equal from what I have heard.  Not saying somoene out there can't be better, but none of us have been made aware of that person yet lol.

Notorious B.I.G./2pac are equal or better it really depends how you look it.

i also would say Nas/Andre 3000/Jay-Z/Jay Electronica/Talib Kweli have a good chance to be equal to Lupe.
Lupe is my favorite but again its all depends how you examin the flow of other rappers.
like if you put Notorious B.I.G. vs Lupe fiasco in a freestyle hands down Notorious would win.
but Honest its to hard to say who is better.

I think GZA is better than Lupe, lyrically
GZA comes closest as far as straight lyrics, but no, not to me at least.  I guarantee you if you take GZA's 5 most lyrical songs vs Lupe's Lupe would take him.  GZA is amazing but does he have a lyrical juggernaut like Failure?  Queen's Gambit, Labels, etc are all lyrically amazing  for the record and I acknowledge that.

Rappers I put on Lupe's level overall as MCs are Andre 3000, Nas and a few others.

There is no way that lupe is best lyricists, hes not even in my top 5.

Better lyricists: Masta Ace, Big L, Ras Kass, Canibus, Pharoahe Monch, Eminem, BIG, Nas, Pun

I put Lupe on the level as Talib Kweli, Chino Xl, Az...

Let me post some tracks of the rappers which named as better lyricists.

Masta Ace - Nostalgia

Lupe is a great lyricists, but you disrespect other artists, when you say hes the best.

The only reason I consider him the best is because he raps about things that are mainly happening all over the world, and not just about the ghetto.  Shit that a lot more people can relate to, I can actually visualize what he is talking about and put pictures to the stories.  I haven't really gotten that feeling from other rappers I've listened to

In my opinion Ciya is not being real right now.

If you listen to these songs and honestly believe it's disrespectful to say Lupe is better than the dudes you listed, I don't know what to say.  BIG?  For real holmes?  He's an all time great but a better LYRICIST?  FOR REAL?

If you can't see the argument for Lupe's pen game being the mightiest maybe I'm the one trippin'.
