I think these phone companies got us twisted. people get new phones as soon as their contracts are up and shit, but i don't feel like its necessary to get a new phone that often. I'm hoping to keep my iPhone 5s for at least five more years, its unlikely it'll happen, but I'm going to try lol

Need? I really only: text, call, play a game or two and browse the web; I don't really care for 'personalizing' my phone, rooting, jail breaking etc.

So, I don't really 'need' a new phone every few years, but this doesn't stop me from buying a new phone every few months :ohtu:

But with new updates, daily wear and tear, and the ever increasing standards for apps/games you'll need a new phone by the end of a 2 year contract, especially if you use it heavily.

You said you plan on using your 5s for a few years? Try using a iPhone 4 on iOS7 for a few days then come back and say that.

Whenever Apple releases one Lol . My iPhone is the one piece of technology that I carry everywhere and use all of the time . Having the most up to date, quickest most efficient one is essential for me .

Getting a new iMac or iPad every year is overkill .

I sell my old iPhone when the new one drops and it covers the cost of the new model . It's a no-brainer .

I get a new flagship whenever one comes out that I'm actually interested in. Despite the S5, M8, and G3, I've been very content with my G2 as long as it's running vanilla Android.

Might get the new Moto X when it comes out but probably only if it has a smaller screen than the G2.
