I see your undecided on the grad partner. I think it should be his mom. or his mom should be like a auto companion for the first 3 levels.

Then at the end of the grad level yall can maybe make a little sad cutscene with an 8 bit pinnochio story melody with her, Ya know... Dying. Just for emotional impact. Doesnt have to be her just dying either, it could be a metaphorical thing. Just for emotional impact.

Anyway her "death" should make a literal portal that kanye walks into maybe with a pokemon style menu thats like

"enter heartbreak?"
> accept
>decline

If the player decides to press decline it could trigger a little easter egg dialog thing as the options. Appearing one at a time like

*press*
> i know how you feel

> its not your fault.
*press*
>these things happen

>but we gotta get through this

Then it goes back to
Enter heartbreak?
>Accept
>Decline

The only true real option is accept obvs
