gow 2 was way more enjoyable and im way better on gow 3 than the other 2, the mp is frustrating since this year's mp is catered more towards new people, hence why the incendiary can pull you in after flipping away from it
the other 2 games required much more skill plus 2/3 of the maps weren't terrible symmetrical maps like gow 3 lol
There isn't a single asymmetrical map in the Gears series that's even halfway decent. In Gears 1 literally every non-symmetrical map but Fuel Depot was god awful. Escalation, Raven Down, and all 4 hidden fronts maps were total pieces of ass in the worst way. And in GoW2 we got bullshit like Day One, Hail, and Fuel Station. Asymmetrical maps in gears are horrendous.
And there's no way Gears 2 required as much skill as GoW1 or 3. Gears 2 was far and away the easiest game to be good at. GoW3 gives really really bad players a little bit of help with the Sawed Off but let's not act like it's even a halfway decent weapon. All it winds up doing is making bad players stay bad for even longer because they're sitting there using the retard weapons.
And the Incendiary killing after you roll away has nothing to do with the game being "easier", it's just a byproduct of client side hit detection. Just like kill trading, just like getting sniped when you're clearly behind a wall that covers your entire head, just like getting rifled down when you're not in someone's line of sight anymore. It's just lag. At least on the other guy's screen he hit you.
Honestly, let's not act like Gears 2 didn't have you moving at the pace of a dying antelope and didn't have so much stopping power that you might as well be getting sent backwards. THAT was the definition of easy, except it worked against literally anybody at any time. At least in Gears 3 the the "easy" ways to kill people are just as easily countered.
Gears 3's definitely easier to avoid being completely useless at than in Gears 2, but it's definitely harder to actually be a decent player in Gears 3 in comparison to 2.
