They both have the same amount of substance, they are both just as trendy, and they both have practically the same fanbase, except generations apart, and Dubstep/brostep is going to be around just about as long as disco

pretty much agree. although there are dubstep artists that do have substance, imo (ie. Burial) ...but brostep is pretty dull and boring.

Oh totally, Burial is legit, as is Flying Lotus and any real "Dubstep". Wish that genre could change its name, brostep has really done some damage.
