Drake rules for a 14th total week, while the Chili Peppers charge thanks to the arrival of their new album.

Drake remains the top musical act in the United States, ranking at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated July 9) for a 14th total week. Plus, Red Hot Chili Peppers rocket 71-2 as their new album, The Getaway, begins as the top-selling album in the U.S.

The Artist 100 measures artist activity across Billboard's most influential charts, including the Billboard Hot 100, Top Album Sales and the Social 50. The Artist 100 blends data measuring album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.

As Drake crowns the Artist 100 for a 14th frame, he extends his mark for the most weeks at No. 1 among males, dating to the chart's July 2014 inception; Justin Bieber is second among male soloists with 11 weeks at No. 1. Among all acts, only Taylor Swift has led longer than Drake: 31 weeks.

Drake holds atop the Artist 100 with streaming marking the biggest share of his chart points (45 percent), followed by digital song sales (20 percent). As previously reported, Drake's "One Dance" (featuring WizKid and Kyla) spends a seventh week at No. 1 on the Hot 100, while parent album Views logs an eighth week at No. 1 of the Billboard 200. Notably, Drake leads the Artist 100, Hot 100 and Billboard 200 simultaneously for a record-tying seventh total week (having first tripled up on the May 21 charts). Only Swift, also seven weeks, Adele (six) and The Weeknd (two) have previously achieved the threefold feat.

Below Drake on the Artist 100, Red Hot Chili Peppers vault to No. 2 (after first appearing on the list last week, at No. 71). Album sales account for 90 percent of the iconic alt band's Artist 100 points, as its new album, The Getaway, launches at No. 1 on Top Album Sales (108,000 first-week copies sold, according to Nielsen Music) and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 (118,000 equivalent album units).

Rounding out the Artist 100's top five, twenty one pilots ascend 6-3; Rihanna dips 2-4; and Beyonce descends 4-5.
