Cudi falling off musically...

Anyone else miss the good ol days when A Kid Named Cudi came out and no one knew about it, Just a kid making dope music, then MOTM came and he went mainstream, and now the ego has gotten in the way of how good his music used to be.  The only good songs on MOTM2 will be the end and Trapped in my mind.  Go back to music that actually speaks to us and doesn't appeal to the masses

I don't think we'll ever hear music from Cud as real as The Prayer, Man On The Moon and Do It Alone.

I still think that what he's coming out with is pretty dope, but I definitely see where you're coming from.
Sorry I've liked cudi longer than you and actually appreciate when he made good music.  Why don't you just go "rage" bitch
Thank you Lonely Stoner

I disagree I think he is just evolving as an artist. Yeah I do admit he has grown a little bit of a ego but I think it just added to the madness that became his life the last year. And it sounds fucked up too say but when artist go thru alot of bad shit nothing but GREAT music comes out of it!
I honestly think the musics better then ever.

but... the feeling I had when I first bumped The Prayer & Man on Moon and the rest of the mixtape and the wait for the first album will never be topped.

that is very true.. sadly.
i dont understand what the hell ur talking about
what do u mean music that will appeal to the masses? just because hes making his music better doesnt automatically make it mainstream. hes still making real music, maybe he wont make another do it alone or the prayer but his music is still as real as it gets.
btw, cudi is pretty far from mainstream music.

That's the thing.

I still think that he's making brilliant music, and I agree with Dgomez that it's simply his evolution as an artist. He's trying different things and going places that he's never gone before with his music, and I appreciate that; but I don't think he'll release anything else that engages me and connects with me as much as the three songs I mentioned earlier are.
All Along is gonna be the closest thing we get to The Prayer & Do It Alone i think.
Another one of these threads. I don't even consider Kid Cudi that mainstream in the first place. Of course, everyone's heard pursuit of happiness or day n' nite, but how many people have heard Heart of a Lion or Solo Dolo?
