50 Cent 03-05. I think that's VERY comparable to Drake right now

Drake just did 1M first week 13 years from when 50 was doing those numbers
Put 2016 Drake in 03-05 he'd do 1.6M first week

Drake sold 852,000 first week. 50 Cent sold 872,000 copies first week. I have no doubt Drake would have sold more at that time with his current level of popularity, but let's not act like those 50 Cent numbers aren't impressive.

Not to mention the fact that this was 50 Cent's DEBUT album. The Massacre sold 1.14 million first week in 2005.

The hype surrounding 50 Cent at that time was unreal. 50 Cent didn't have longetivity, but his peak was unquestionable. Even a 50 year old, middle-aged white woman would have at least heard of 50 Cent's name. To this day, 50 Cent is still a LOT more well-known internationally
