If it's under $1,000 I'm thinking of dropping the cash for VIP WTT tickets... Good idea or not? I know he did this for GITD but I was in college at the time and didn't have the money to spend at the time.. Anyone here have any experience with VIP tix for a Ye show?

Will VIP tickets be on sale during the presale? You think they will sell out before the official sale?

VIP is supposed to have elevated seating. VIP's nowadays usually include some goodies like shirts, laminate and shit like that. Here's where the VIP's are gonna be I think (the middle weird looking section)

If the M&G is included I'm DEFINITELY getting VIP.

It usually isn't.

VIP is more so for those that don't want to be mixed in with everyone else. Rich people, celebrities. So yeah, it's not going to be the best seats. But you won't be mixed with the rest of the crowd, and your seats are raised off the ground.

Usually VIP is located in the center of the floor, or the way back. Although I've seen some shows do it on the side of the Pit. I guess it just depends on each individual arena. All I know is, looking at most of these charts - it would seem that it would be better to go for the floor first (see if you can get the first 10 rows). And then go for the VIP.
Any VIP I've seen or been to has been the first 5 rows so I have no idea what you're talking about. Think about it logically, you'd pay MORE money than everyone else to have shittier seats farther away? I've never seen a VIP that hasn't been front row or first 5-10 rows.

VIP can't be that pit because then the camera crew (lighting guys and whatever) would have an obstruction. (5-6 rows of people elevated above the rest of the crowd?) It would block all their camera shots from there.

I read somewhere (I think Live Nation via FB) where they were going to post details, including VIP info, on August 1st (tomorrow).

Hopefully this is true. It would suck if details came out as they put the tickets up. That'd be way too hectic.

EDIT:

Not sure if this has been posted (sorry if I'm late), but here's what the VIP package includes:

"VIP Lounge includes:
- A luxury seat in a private VIP lounge, elevated just above the arena floor, adjacent to the sound and lights desk
- A personal concierge to meet you outside the venue and escort you through security to your private seats
- Official Commemorative VIP Laminate
- Exclusive Watch The Throne Tour Gift Bag"

Info taken from the Atlanta event on FaceBook.

I'm honestly thinking it's not worth it.

Weird, almost all the VIP I've seen are sections off away from PIT/first 5 rows.

Maybe it's an LA thing. But if you look at Jay-Z's seating chart from the last tour in LA, VIP was behind all the floor seats, just raised up. I agree with you about the camera and PIT thing. I think the way I phrased that was a bit off. When I meant VIP was raised off on side of PIT, i meant shows that don't have pit, so it's off to the side of the seating area.

Anyways, I shouldn't have spoken in general terms. Because based on the seating charts of the various shows up, the VIP section differs from venue to venue. Like I said, last years Jay-Z show in LA had the VIP at the very back of the floor, just raised up. Whereas in other places, VIP is located differently. All I know is, if I had to choose between VIP and floor seats (in a situation like Jay-Zs show at staples), I would easily go for floor over VIP.

^^^^

See how VIP is in the far back.
WOW! In Vancouver it's always the first few rows. That sucks! lol

Yeah. lol

But to be fair, this is just ONE city. I don't know how the other cities in the US do it. And it really just depends on the Venue/artist. It can change.

I guess I've just had experiences where most of the time, the VIP wasn't really worth it. But I would def consider doing VIP this tour if they make the section more enticing (better location, cool swag etc.)
Looks like its the same way in SJ. VIP seats behind the front seats. The vip package will determine whether I buy em or front row.

There's no meet n greet and sitting elevated in the back with a lanyard seems real lame to me.  I'm not paying someone hundreds of dollars to walk me to my seat.
