here's the history of the Roland 808 drum machine, Roland contacted this kid to make sounds that sounded like real drums. He gave them the 808 collection LOL it sounds nothing like a real drum, now its used on 80% of pop records

If you wanna banger in the whip then it's a must.  But I'd like to see it used more creatively, these similar ass trap beats are killing me.  The 808 drums are flexible ass sounds manipulation wise.
